The old model
Copier company first
- Started in print / lease / service contracts
- IT and phones got bolted on later
- Business model still smells like toner routes
- Weak on AI and modern cloud stacks
- Helpdesk is an upsell, not the core product
About Us
Connected Office Solutions is a New Jersey technology partner for managed IT, security, VoIP, and apps. We automate the grind. We keep people on judgment, trust, and the hard calls.
Let’s be transparent
A huge chunk of “managed IT” companies started in copier sales and repair, then migrated into everything else as print slowed down. Same trucks. Same culture. New logo. Suddenly the people who used to clear paper jams were responsible for firewalls, Microsoft tenants, and the phones that take customer calls.
Be honest with yourself: do you want your copier repair person responsible for your entire network, every workstation, and every inbound phone call? That is not a dig at hardworking techs. It is a question about business models. Those companies were built around aging machines that still jam during the one meeting that mattered (yes, Office Space called it). We did not build Connected Office Solutions around that inventory.

How we operate
Most issues get fixed remotely and fast, often without interrupting the user. When hardware or physical access is required, we show up. Clients get a real dashboard for system health and guided self-help, with us behind it the moment you need a person.
Under the hood we use custom-developed software plus industry-leading platforms to manage workstations, servers, and the rest of your assets. AI helps catch problems before your team feels them. Humans handle judgment, escalations, and on-site work.
And yes, offices still need printers. We can help with that too. The difference is direction: we are an MSP that can support copiers, not a copier company that also answers helpdesk tickets.

Leadership

Founder & CEO
Trevor is not just a CEO. He is an IT person and software developer at heart. He regularly takes and manages support tickets himself and shows up on site when there is an issue. Extremely hands-on, with over 15 years of experience in the MSP and IT world, he got his start working with Microsoft and still stays close to the work that keeps clients running.
That mindset shapes the company: modern tools, proactive support, and leaders who do not disappear behind a title when something breaks.
